Our MBA programmes

An experiential learning approach

  • The Strategy Project is a core module for our Full-time MBA students. Working in small groups, students work with companies on real projects to help solve a business problem. It takes six months to complete and is an opportunity to put what students learn in the classroom into practice. Not only a form of experiential learning, it's a great opportunity to network.
  • The International Consultancy Week places students at the heart of a fast-paced growing foreign market to tackle a real-life consultancy assignment. They develop a business strategy or overcome an operational challenge for real clients.

    I was working in Chile as the Digital Systems Director for a leading healthcare network, where I created and led a new telemedicine business unit.     I wanted to jump to this level and the EMBA gave me that opportunity.

    I didn't want to start over and have to make my way up in the pharmaceutical industry. I wanted to jump to this level and the EMBA gave me that opportunity. Alongside classroom theory and experiential learning projects, the programme encouraged me to think outside the box and seek out others’ opinions on the problems I was facing at work. Whenever I had any challenge, I brought them back to my peers in my classes and discussed them. I had colleagues in the class from many different sectors, so it was very easy to pick their brains and then implement their ideas within my workspace. Since I was studying while working, I was able to turn classroom theory into real-world practical results almost straight away. I moved into a role at pharmaceutical company MSD in the UK, where I now work as Associate Director of Clinical Operations. It’s still a healthcare research role, but with more seniority, and on the opposite side of the sponsor relationship— something I wouldn’t have been able to accomplish in such a short space of time without the EMBA.
